Directions & Parking

Getting Here

Centrally located in Maryland and just eight miles north of Baltimore, Towson University is easily accessible by car, train or plane. A number of MTA bus routes also service the Towson area.

From I-95 (southbound):

Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 west toward Towson.
Take exit 25 toward MD-139/Charles Street.
At the top of the exit ramp, turn left and proceed to the light.
At the light turn left onto Charles Street.
Proceed approximately 2 miles and turn left at the light onto Towsontown Blvd.
Turn right at the first light onto Emerson Drive.
Park on the first floor of the West Village Parking Garage in the spaces marked "Visitor Parking."
From the garage, follow Towson Way (brick path) through West Village. Make a right between Barton and Tubman Houses and continue to West Village Commons. Tours depart from the 3rd floor.

From I-95 (northbound), I-83 (north and southbound), and I-70 (eastbound):

Take the Baltimore Beltway I-695 toward Towson.
Take exit 25 to merge onto Charles Street (MD-139) south.
Proceed approximately 2 miles and turn left at the light onto Towsontown Blvd.
Turn right at the first light onto Emerson Drive.
Park on the first floor of the West Village Parking Garage in the spaces marked "Visitor Parking."
From the garage, follow Towson Way (brick path) through West Village. Make a right between Barton and Tubman Houses and continue to West Village Commons. Tours depart from the 3rd floor.

From Baltimore (Penn Station):

Proceed north on Charles Street for approximately 7 miles.
Turn right at the light on Towsontown Boulevard.
Turn right at the first light onto Emerson Drive.
Park on the first floor of the West Village Parking Garage in the spaces marked "Visitor Parking."
From the garage, follow Towson Way (brick path) through West Village. Make a right between Barton and Tubman Houses and continue to West Village Commons. Tours depart from the 3rd floor.

Parking for Campus Tours

All campus tour visitors must make a campus tour reservation and use their email confirmation as their parking permit. The email confirmation must be placed on your windshield. Guests should note the following restrictions:

Parking for campus tours is located in the West Village Garage visitor spaces on the first floor only.
Parking permits are only valid through the completion of the tour.

Inclement Weather

In the event classes are canceled, all campus tours will be canceled. Towson University will post closing information on the Towson University website or call 410-704-NEWS.
