Athletics

Athletics are a big part of college life at Towson University, whether you’re a player or a fan. Now in its 28th year of NCAA Division I competition, the Tiger intercollegiate athletics program sponsors 20 sports. We belong to the Colonial Athletic Association and the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Cheer on our Tiger football, lacrosse and track teams from the stands of Johnny Unitas Stadium, the third-largest stadium in Baltimore. The 5,000-seat Towson Center arena is home to Tiger basketball, gymnastics and volleyball. The Tigers play baseball at the John B. Schuerholz Baseball Park, and our swim team competes at Burdick Pool.

TU student-athletes are also serious about their studies. Last year, more than 40 percent earned a GPA of 3.00 or better. We’ve also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its listing of America’s Best College Sports programs for the outstanding graduation rate of our student-athletes.
