Why did you choose TU for your graduate studies?
"I wanted to do my master’s degree in computer science, on the software engineering track, and I checked out the Towson Web site. The International Graduate Admissions coordinator was particularly helpful in advising me on both admissions and program requirements."
How have professors assisted you in your studies?
"At TU, teaching continues beyond the classroom walls. I have never been made to feel unwelcome when I have gone to a professor’s office for assistance. This has been a source of encouragement for me. TU staff members have been equally supportive. They are always looking to see beyond the current needs of students to make TU a better place for learning."
What type of graduate assistantship do you have?
"I help international students through the application process. I like meeting people from different countries–there’s a lot to share and learn from one another."
Is TU helping to prepare you for your career?
"My TU experiences are greatly contributing to the direction of my career. Since February 2005 I have worked full time at Lockheed Martin as a developer/analyst. Together with a team of developers, we provide patches and upgrades to existing systems while working closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs. I’m applying a lot of what I’m learning in school to what I do in the field. I enjoy this job very much!"
Is Towson a welcoming place for international students?
"There are many international people at TU, including professors and lecturers as well as students, and I feel a part of that community."
