"We All Come Down Sometime"
by Jon Patton
|
I guess we all come down, sometime;
it's not my fault that distant rains fall.
I always thought I'd know the words
that I would say that night,
but sometimes, a look just says it all.
The differences and words unspoken lead me to
believe that
I was the mountain, and she was the sea,
|
I guess we all part ways, sometime;
but it's my place to be right where I am.
She always said I spent my time
in thoughts so far away,
but my thoughts tonight are where I stand.
The differences and words unspoken lead me to
believe
that I was the mountain, and she was the sea.
|
I guess we all break down, sometime;
I see know there's no sense in laying blame.
But I can't help if I've always been
only what I am,
and I know now that she can't help the same.
The differences and words unspoken lead me to believe
that I was the mountain, and she was the sea.
