APPLYING FOR AID

You must apply annually for financial aid from federal, university campus-based and most state of  Maryland scholarship and grant programs.  As soon as possible after January 1 each year, complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at the U.S. Department of Education’s Web site.  Be sure to complete your FAFSA by February 15 each year to meet the financial aid priority deadline of March 1.  List Towson University (code #002099) in Step Six of the FAFSA so that the federal processor can transmit your FAFSA results electronically to Towson University.

Before you fill out your first FAFSA online, you will need a PIN, a 4-digit number that is used in combination with your Social Security Number, name, and date of birth to identify you as someone who has the right to access your own personal information on Federal Student Aid Web sites, such as FAFSA on the Web, and allows you to sign your FAFSA electronically.  .
