Towson University offers scholarships, grants, loans and employment to help you pay for your education. Money for these programs comes from the U.S. Department of Education, the state of Maryland, and Towson University. The campus-based grant and loan programs help you pay the difference between the cost of education and the amount your family can contribute.
The university's Office of Admissions awards a number of academic scholarships each fall to qualified incoming freshmen and transfer students with outstanding academic credentials or special talent. Scholarships generally use merit or academic achievement as the main criterion, rather than financial need. Some scholarships use academic major as an additional criterion.
