
Financial Aid Calendar
Want to stay ahead of the game? Follow this calendar of deadlines for Towson University’s financial aid process. Other schools may have different deadlines. If you are applying to other schools, make sure to check with their financial aid office. Questions? Please call or send us an e-mail.
September–December

Take the SAT or ACT, if you haven't already.

Visit college campuses and attend college fairs. TU hosts several Open Houses in the fall with financial aid representatives available for questions. You can view the schedule and register online.

Apply for admission to your top choices.
January–March

Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online by January 31 each year for the next academic year that begins in September.

Look for your first acceptance letters from schools. TU tries to inform students of acceptance within six weeks of receiving an application.
March–April
May–June

Choose the school you want to attend.

Notify the admissions office of that school.

Accept and return the financial aid package from the school you've chosen.

Complete your master promissory notes for student loans or file parent loan applications, if necessary.

Notify other schools that you've made a decision.
