What is Wellness?

Wellness is not merely the absence of disease. Wellness is an active process of change and growth facilitated by becoming more aware of making choices that will lead towards a more balanced and successful existence. There are many interrelated dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, relational, vocational, environmental, spiritual, intellectual and financial. Each dimension is essential in the pursuit of optimal health.

Towson University is committed to maintaining a healthy campus community. A variety of services and programs are offered throughout campus to promote health and wellness. These are designed to help students, faculty and staff, and their families live healthy, balanced lifestyles that incorporate the positive attitudes and productive behaviors related to many aspects of wellness.
