Wellness Quiz

Look for ways to integrate exercise and physical activity with other areas of your life.

For instance, you might expand your social network by participating in a team sport, starting a biking group, or taking a yoga class. Many solitary sports can also be easily integrated with spiritual or meditative practices. Walking meditation is a common practice in Buddhism, but walking, running, swimming, and other solo sports can have a meditative or spiritual quality for non-Buddhists as well. In your student role, you can also use pleasant physical activities (e.g., a hike you’ve been looking forward to) as rewards for achieving small goals or finishing tasks, such as completing your library research for a paper you are writing, or gathering information about a major or career field you are interested in exploring.
