Outreach

Towson University’s commitment to outreach is stronger than ever.

Whether we’re reaching out to businesses, state and local governments, children, senior citizens, sports fans or fans of the fine arts, sharing academic and human resources is a key part of our metropolitan university mission.

As Maryland’s metropolitan university, Towson has a unique obligation to the communities it serves. That’s why we’re addressing regional needs with outreach initiatives ranging from K-12 programs to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, from economic development to speech-language-hearing screenings, and from Division I athletics to community arts programs.

TUTORS at Baltimore City elementary schools

TU students tutor children in Baltimore City elementary schools in reading and math as part of the TUTORS program, one of several community outreach programs supported by the Pepsi Corp.
