Student Research and Scholarship Expo: Calling all Scholars!

Towson, Md. (April 14, 2010): Plan to attend the TU Student Research and Scholarship Expo scheduled for April 21 This annual event, now in its 11th year, features exemplary student work from all colleges of the university showcasing their results and academic work progress. This year, the Expo features a total of 93 presentations in a variety of formats, including posters, oral presentations, art exhibits, technology demonstrations, and performance. Graduate and undergraduate work is represented, including thesis work, and many of the projects presented were conducted in part with sponsored funding, including grants from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, departments of the State of Maryland, as well as private foundation funding and fellowships.

The Expo provides a venue for the university to recognize excellent work by students under the mentorship of faculty members, as well as providing experience for the students at presenting their research, and for the campus community to examine and appreciate the high quality work being done at all levels, in all disciplines, by Towson students. All members of the campus community, including students, faculty and staff, are invited to attend the Expo, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the University Unionís third floor.†The Expo will also feature presentation of the Graduate Thesis Project Awards.
