Towson, Md. (August 17, 2011) The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research (OSPR) welcomes new and returning faculty and staff members for the academic year 2011-12. As a new academic year begins, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind faculty and staff members of the services offered through the OSPR. The OSPR is the central office dedicated to faculty and staff members’ pre- and post-award external funding and grantsmanship development needs. We are here to assist with:
We encourage those interested in pursuing funding for their scholarly interests to contact us early in the process so that we may provide the assistance necessary to ensure a competitive proposal is submitted and award terms and conditions are met. The OSPR issues a weekly electronic newsletter summarizing current grant opportunities of interest and announcing upcoming grantsmanship events to the campus community, the Alive Line. It is sent via email each Monday throughout the year. Anyone not currently receiving this newsletter who would like this information should contact the OSPR to be added to the distribution list. The current Alive Line features information on a workshop on Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-21, “Cost Principles for Educational Institutions.” The workshop, which will include lunch, is scheduled for Thursday, August 25, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Administration Building, room 120. Those interested in attending should contact the OSPR to register. We hope that, in addition to reading the Alive Line regularly and contacting us by telephone or email, many of our colleagues will visit us in our new location, the Enrollment Services Center, suite 208 and rooms 210, 212, and 214. We can be reached by telephone at 4-2236 and by email at ospr@towson.edu.
