The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR) serves the dual function of protecting the university's interests in matters relating to external funding while providing a high level of service to university faculty and staff members in identifying funding opportunities, developing project ideas into proposals, and submitting complete and competitive proposals. Following award of a sponsored project, OSPR will continue to work with the TU community in grant management and financial administration of award. A Northern Map Turtle relaxes on a man-made platform built at Towson University's Fisher College under the direction of Dr. Richard Seigel. This platform was deployed at Port Deposit's Tome's Landing Marina.
• Congratulations to Patricia MacDonald who received $12,700 from the National Endowment for the Arts's Big Read Program. Cook Library will be hosting a Big Read program over the coming year showcasing Ursula K. Leguin's classic novel, "The Wizard of Earthsea."
