The Office of Undergraduate Research supports undergraduate research through the three competitive programs described below. These programs are in addition to the resources offered by university colleges and the departments to undergraduate students. All original scholarly and creative activity appropriate to any discipline at our university is eligible for funding. This includes, for example, research in natural and social sciences, artistic performances, and works of art.
The Office of Undergraduate Research also sponsors an annual Undergraduate and Graduate Research Expo each spring at which undergraduate and graduate students from across campus share their work with the university community.
Research grants of up to $500 per project are awarded on a competitive basis to
undergraduate students engaged in scholarly research
activities under the mentorship of Towson faculty members.
