Department of Management
Message from the Chair
Without organized human activity, civilization can not progress or hope to maintain the momentum towards progress. The two most critical elements of efficient and effective operations are management and leadership of organized activities in formal organizations.
We, as discipline-based professionals, wholly subscribe to the concept of continuous improvement, both as a value and as a process. Ongoing curricula development ensures that course offerings and content reflect the current practices used and challenges faced by organizations. Because management is a broad field of study, the concentrations in human resource management, international business, and general management offer students a flexible learning program that can be individualized to meet the learner's specific career objectives. We also promote interdisciplinary learning and experiential learning so the learner can apply the knowledge to create solutions for challenges faced by organizations.
Through scholarship, teaching and service, the faculty in the Department of Management, support and promote the University and College vision and mission.
