Student Organizations
Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), has received national recognition including the Gold Chapter Award and the Business Achievement Award. Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes the outstanding achievement of students enrolled in business programs and prides itself in the academic achievements of students and their involvement in the community. Its active alumni continually involve themselves in the community, providing students with networking opportunities.
Society for Human Resource Management
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is devoted to the development of human resource management and organizational strategy. In partnership with the Chesapeake Human Resource Association, SHRM offers opportunities including scholarships, networking, internships, peer mentoring, resume building, and mock interviews.
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
SIFE is an international non-profit organization that brings together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. The SIFE Team at Towson University provides opportunities for students to design and implement service projects that address real problems in local, as well as international communities. SIFE Team members have exclusive access to scholarships, conferences and networking events, and have the opportunity to gain international recognition in the annual SIFE World Cup Competition, where the best of the 1500 SIFE University Teams showcase their projects in front of business leaders from around the world. SIFE is open to all majors.
