John Grant, Ph.D.

Dr. John Grant received his Ph.D. in mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences of New York University in 1970. From 1970 to 1978 he was a faculty member at the University of Florida in the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Computer and Information Sciences as a postdoctoral fellow, assistant professor, and associate professor. Dr. Grant started at Towson University in 1978 as Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science Coordinato and was promoted to Professor in 1986. Between 1990 and 1993 he also was a Professor in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies. John taught over 40 different courses in mathematics and computer and information sciences. At Towson University he initiated the computer science major in 1979 and the accreditation of the computer science major in 1992. Dr. Grant has over 60 publications in mathematics and computer and information sciences.

Dr. Grant retired from Towson University in May 2014
