New Faculty Positions
Full-Time Lecturer Position in Mathematics
The Department Mathematics of Towson University has an opening for a full-time lecturer starting fall 2009. A doctorate degree in mathematics is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates whose specialty is in applied mathematics and who have experience or potential for conducting research in mathematics with undergraduate students. The successful candidate will teach four course units (twelve contact hours) per semester; salary is commensurate with the degree (Master’s minimum) and experience. The position also provides some health benefits.
The Department of Mathematics offers bachelor’s degree programs in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, actuarial science and risk management, and mathematics education. Master’s degree programs are offered in applied and industrial mathematics, and mathematics education.
