Petition to Transfer Courses into Towson's Department of Mathematics

If you are currently enrolled at Towson and wish to take a course outside of Towson and transfer it in, you must get prior permission from the Academic Standards Committee. Begin by visiting the

Be sure to read all the policies, and complete a Transfer Petition Form per instructions. The process takes time, as you may need approval from the Mathematics department for your course before Academic Standards will approve the transfer.

Note: Course work in which a grade is earned at TU cannot be repeated at another institution. This means that if you received a D or F (or any other grade) in a TU course, you cannot take the course elsewhere and transfer it in. If you received a “W” because you withdrew, you may petition for transfer.

If you want to have “old” coursework (taken prior to coming to Towson) re-evaluated, please contact the Transfer Evaluation Office at 410-704-2007, or visit them in the 7800 York Road building in Room 217, to ensure the most up-to-date forms and policies.
