Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science & Mathematics

Department of Mathematics

Undergraduate Programs

The Department of Mathematics offers the major and minor in mathematics as well as several combined major programs. Mathematics majors can choose from four areas of concentration, depending on interests and career plans.

Combined major programs are available in mathematics and economics, mathematics and computer science, and mathematics and computer science with a security track.

The minor in mathematics, designed to enhance major programs to which mathematics is applied, is also offered. Elementary education majors who complete the mathematics minor will be prepared to teach both elementary and middle school mathematics. Students in this program should have advisers in both the mathematics and elementary education departments.
