Towson University Mathematics Club

Welcome to the home of the Towson University Math Club!

We meet weekly on Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30 pm in YR 320. Our annual events include the Pi Day Celebration, the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Olympiad, Penny Wars, Math Bingo, and various seminars. In 2012, we hope to start an annual Math Jeopardy as well!

One of the highlights of being a member of the Math Club is the networking factor. Come and get to know some of the professors and get their insight into what you are learning. If you are a math major, you can also meet students who may have already taken the classes you are looking into. You can ask members about professors, homework problems, classes to take, etc. You will also meet the students who will most likely be in half of your classes for the next few years. The Math Club is an excellent place to develop contacts that will be helpful and supportive throughout your time at Towson.

Not a math major? That’s okay! If you are not a math major, then you can meet a fun group of people who might be able to lend a hand when needed. If you simply enjoy puzzles and logic problems or you pick up the paper just to solve the Sudoku, then the Math Club is here for you.

If you have questions about the club, or would like to receive information about upcoming meetings and events, then simply email one of our officers or the faculty advisor to be added to the email list.

Hope to see you soon!
