STEM Olympiad participants included members from various STEM clubs including Math Club, Minority Science and Technology Club, Society of Physics Students (SPS), Tri Beta, MB3, and Women in Science.
The Egg Race
The first challenge was the egg race. This was an interesting twist on your typical
relay race! Math Club won this challenge!
The Tower
The second challenge was the Tower. Using the blocks given, we had to create the tallest tower and name it.
Our tower was called Archimedes' Beach.
The Egg Tower
The third and final challenge was the Egg Tower. Using the newspaper, we had to creat the tallest
tower that could support our egg. Unfortunaltely our tower fell down before it was judged, but our egg didn't break!
Tri Beta won the STEM Cup this year but hopefully Math Club will be
victorious next year!!!!
