Molecular Biology, Biochemistry &
Bioinformatics (MB3) Program
The Fisher College of Science and Mathematics is accepting applications for a
full-time Administrative Assistant I to provide administrative, secretarial,
budgetary and clerical support to the MB3 Program and its Director. As first
point of contact for a wide variety of students, faculty, staff, administrators,
parents, and visitors, the successful candidate must have the ability and desire
to be responsive to their needs.
The MB3 major includes approximately 120 students and positive interactions will
be essential. This position will arrange for seminars and special activities,
maintain appointments and schedules, serve as timekeeper for student workers,
and perform other duties as requested. Some evenings and weekends may be
required for occasional events for promotion of MB3 program and Towson
University Community Service goals.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years experience providing administrative
support, ability to pass a 40 wpm keyboard skills test, strong organizational
and computer skills, and
ability to work in a diverse fast-paced environment with an emphasis on customer
service and demonstrated ability to be helpful above all.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and
the results may impact employment.
Salary:
$28,939 annually; applicants with TU or USM service may receive salary credit.
This position is contingent on funds being available at time of hire.
