Dr. Potter studies rhetorical theory and criticism as it relates to culture and gender. Her research focuses on the way in which culture and cultural identity is infused in individual and public rhetorical choices. Her teaching interests include intercultural communication, gender and communication, rhetorical theory and criticism, and political communication. Dr. Potter directs the Towson University Forensics program that houses a speech team and a debate team and is the faculty advisor for the Pi Kappa Delta Forensics Honors Society.
