Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies

The Department of Mass Communication and Communication Studies provides students with the tools they need to navigate the communication challenges of the 21st century.  Interested in learning more about advertising, journalism, new media, public relations or communications? We offer the following undergraduate programs of study:

• Communication Studies major
• Mass Communication major
• Minors in Communication Studies and Mass Communication
• Political Science and Communication Studies combined major
• Political Science and Mass Communication combined major

Our graduate programs include:

• Communication Management master’s program
• Strategic Public Relations and Integrated Communications graduate certificate

In addition, the department participates in a multidisciplinary Master of Science degree program in Human Resource Development.
