Mark Lackey

Picture of Mark LackeyAs one of the organizers of After Now, a quarterly new music series in Baltimore, Mark A. Lackey is part of an active new music scene. His work has been performed by a number of excellent musicians including violinist Courtney Orlando and violist Victor de Almeida. Mark has served as a faculty member of The Peabody Preparatory and The Peabody Conservatory and is happy to be teaching at Towson University this fall. Mark is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition and a second Master of Music degree in music theory pedagogy from The Peabody, where he earned the Master of Music degree in composition. His past teachers include composers Christopher Theofanidis and Nicholas Maw.
Mark is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda national honor society in music.
