The Symphonic Band is the premier wind band at Towson University. The ensemble’s repertoire is drawn from significant literature written for wind ensemble and symphonic band. The Symphonic Band has performed for the Music Educators National Conference Eastern Division convention in Providence, R.I. and Baltimore, Md. They have also performed for the Eastern Division College Band Directors National Association at Morgan State University and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania as well as numerous performances for the Maryland Music Educators Association. In March of 2010, members of the Symphonic Band under Dr. Rothlisberger’s performed five concerts in Beijing and Shanghai, China.
