Classical Guitar Ensemble

Guitar ensemble classes at Towson University are an integral part of the guitar program. For the first two years students attend weekly sessions designed to develop important skills including fret board awareness, listening and integrating into an ensemble, and sight reading.

The upper-level guitar ensemble is a performing ensemble where students, grouped variably into duos, trios, quartets and guitar orchestras, perform in regular recitals. Highlights include the regional premiere of Gilbert Biberian's The Rose Garden and the world premiere of Vivian Adelberg Rudow's The Ocean Sings for viola solo and guitar orchestra.
