Book Collection
The book collection in the Resource Room contains 536 different items including 51 anthologies, 54 dictionaries, 3 encyclopedias, 26 vocal manuals, 6 method books, 123 orchestral scores, 54 full miniature scores, 49 textbooks, 139 instrumental scores (piano, organ, violin, guitar, duos, trios, and quartets), and collections of instrumental parts. Most of the 536 catalogued items have multiple copies.

Audio and Video Recordings Collection
The audio/video section of the Recourse Room includes 1,762 items. The audio collection contains 1466 CDs with Classical recordings, 23 CDs with Pop music, 29 CDs with Rock music, and 26 CDs featuring Jazz performers. The video collection located in the Resource Room includes 59 DVDs (primarily operas and orchestral performances), 33 VHS tapes with Jazz performances, and 55 VHS tapes with Pop music, as well and 71 Laser Discs.

Computers and Software
The Resource Room has 4 computer workstations (3 Dell PCs and 1 iMac) available to students and faculty during the regular Resource Room hours of operation. All computers in the Resource Room have Microsoft Office, notation software (Finale and Sibelius), and ear training/music theory applications (Auralia and Musition ). Each workstation in equipped with SONY stereo headphones and a MAudio USB MIDI interface for easy entering of notes and MIDI data. All four workstations are connected to flatbed scanners and a laser network printer.

Audio and Video Equipment
The Audio playback equipment available in the Resource Room includes CD Players, Cassette Decks, and LP players. The video playback equipment includes DVD players and VCRs. The video and audio playback equipment is connected to surround receivers) which support various multichannel audio and video formats. The video previewing equipment includes TV-VHS sets.

The Resource Room has a student assistant available to help students and faculty with resources and equipment during the regular hours of operation.
