John McGinness, bass trombonist of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and the Ash Lawn Opera Festival, is also a freelance trombone performer and educator based in the greater Baltimore/Washington (DC) area. In addition, he is an adjunct faculty member at Towson University, where he teaches the Brass Methods sequence for Music Education majors, and at Washington Adventist University. He has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Kennedy Center Orchestra, and with the orchestras of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Youngstown (OH). During the summers of 2003-2008 McGinness was the bass trombonist of the Camp of the Woods Orchestra in Speculator, NY. McGinness is an Artist/Clinician for the Edwards Instrument Company.
