John Crouch is a doctoral candidate in composition at The Peabody Conservatory. He holds a Master of Music in Composition from The Peabody Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music in Composition from The University of Arkansas. His music has been performed in New York, Seattle, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Fayetteville, AR. Some of his composition honors include prizes from from the Virginia Carty DeLillo competition, the Otto Ortmann Award, and the Prix d'Ete competition. Since 2007 he has also taught music at Johns Hopkins University in the Peabody-at-Homewood program.
