Graduate Placement Examination
in Music History & Theory 

THE PLACEMENT EXAMINATION: A Placement Examination in Music History and Music Theory is required for enrollment in Graduate Studies in Music. The examination is given twice a year. The next one is scheduled on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 5:00p-6:30p (Theory Placement Exam) and 6:30p-8:00p (History and Literature Exam). The examination will be given in the Center for the Arts Room 3077 and will last for a total of approximately three (3) hours.

Preparing for the Graduate Placement Exams is extremely important. Please read your graduate handbook thoroughly and consult the following two websites in your preparation:
