This message is for anyone who plans to audition for the Orchestra, Symphonic Band or Big Band in the fall. Since the audition procedure will be new, please take note of the following important information and plan accordingly.
If a student does not audition during the listed times, that student will be placed in an ensemble(s) by the conductors, based on the needs of the ensemble.
Who: Woodwind and Brass seats in the Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and Big Band.
When: Tuesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 4 ONLY
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Tuesday -- 9:00-11:00 am and 12:30 – 2:00; and 3:30– 6:00 pm
Thursday -- 9:00 --11:00 am and 12:30 —2:00 pm and 3:30 -- 6:00 pm

All percussion auditions for band and orchestra will be held on Thursday Sept 4 during the first percussion master class. The excerpt list will be available by the first of August.

What to prepare:
--BIG BAND GUITAR, PIANO, VIBES and BASS – a prepared piece (Real Book tune, jazz etude, etc.) that demonstrates the ability to comp, play a walking bass line (bass only) and/or improvise over a given set of chord changes
