You can either print it and then type in the requested information or simply fill out the form within Acrobat then print it. Previous Award/Scholarship Winners 2011-2012 Music Department Competitions and ScholarshipSPRINGFriedmann-Gordon Competition; $2,000Awards: $1000 for 1st Place; $650 for 2nd Place; $350 for 3rd Place. Additionally winners will perform on an Honors recital Day, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the TU Concert Hall -Application Deadline: February 24, 2012 -Competition Date: March 2, 2012; 11:30-4:00PM in the Recital Hall (Friday Afternoon) -For: Full-time undergrad Music Majors only -Judges: TBA, but will not be Towson Music Faculty -GPA Minimum: none -Application Information & Fact Sheet Talent Award; Award of $150 per category -Application Deadline: March 13, 2012 to the Division Contact on the Application -For: Any Towson University undergraduate music major excluding: 1.the preceding first or second place winners in the Friedman-Gordon Competition (from Spring 2012) or the Lieberman Competition (from Spring 2012), and 2. Any former winners of the Talent Award from any given year. Winners must be available to perform on the Honors Recital, Thursday April 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM (TU Concert Hall) -GPA Minimum: none -Information Sheet and Application Diekmann; $2,295 Award of $1000 for 1st Prize; $750 for 2nd Prize and $500 for 3rd Prize; Winners must be available to perform at the Honors Recital April 12, 2012 at 11:00 in the Concert Hall -Application Deadline: March 5, 2012 -Competition Date: March 30, Friday 12:00-3:30PM Concert Hall -For: Undergrad and Graduate Music Majors -Judges: TBA, but will not be Towson Music Faculty -GPA Minimum: 3.0 -Application Information TBA Dunbar Scholarship; $1,250 -Application Deadline: February 10, 2012 -Competition Date: February 17, 2012, 10:00AM-2:00PM Friday, Recital Hall -For: Full-time undergrad Music Majors only who are of non-traditional age (22+ years) and who are seeking their first Bachelor’s Degree. -GPA Minimum: 3.0 -Application Information & Fact Sheet Price Scholarship; Award of $2624– Each Division nominates one student; Scholarship Committee then picks one to nominate to the Dean; only one award will be given to a student chosen from all applications in all departments in COFAC; Faculty Must Nominate Students -Application Deadline: February 24, 2012 -For: Sophomore, Junior or senior (with full year of study until completion) -GPA Minimum: 3.0 -Application Information Franklin and Alice Cooley Scholarship – Award of $531.00 For FY 2011-2012, (COFAC Dean’s Office) -Application Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2012 -For: Full-time Undergrad Music Majors only -GPA Minimum: 2.5 -Application Information McConnell- Brungardt Scholarship Fund; – Award of $276 For FY 2011-2012, (COFAC Dean’s Office) -Application Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2012 -For: Full-time Undergrad or Graduate Music Majors only -GPA Minimum: 3.0 -Application Information Small Jazz Ensembles Competition $1000 to winner; $500 to runner up. Small jazz ensembles ranging from 2 to 5 performers. - Application deadline Wednesday, March 7 to Professor David Ballou - For any Towson University undergraduate music major. - Small jazz ensembles ranging from 2 to 5 performers. - Pre-screening results will be announced Monday, March 12. - Three finalists will be selected to perform 20 minute set of music on Thursday, March 29, 8:15 pm - Judges TBA, but will not be Towson Music Faculty - Information & Application |
