Students come first with instruction in strings, winds, and percussion performance. Whether you are interested in performance, music education, or a minor in music—we have courses, teachers and ensembles for you.
The Strings, Winds, and Percussion program at Towson University is known for professors who are outstanding teachers and professional performers. Our full-time faculty members are active and engaged teachers who are regionally and nationally recognized pedagogues. All continue as active performers in regional or national venues.
Our part-time faculty members are drawn from such prestigious ensembles as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Opera, Annapolis Symphony, the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C., and many other ensembles in the area.
