Stop the spring cleaning and start the spring greening. TU’s free “Gathering in the Glen” will feature a range of activities, games, crafts and prizes on Friday, April 22 in the Glen Arboretum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to hear live music, play patio games, participate in challenge course activities, make crafts including DIY toothpaste, and spin a trivia wheel to win plants.

Goats from a local farm will be grazing in the Glen throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to take photos with the animals and watch them at work.

“Earth Day is a perfect excuse to spend time in the Glen,” said Campus Planning and Sustainability Manager Patricia Watson. “This festival makes it easy to enjoy one of the most beautiful and accessible areas of our campus, which many people have never visited.”

In the event of rain, it will be held in the University Union.

See the "Gathering in the Glen" Facebook page for more information on the event. The first 100 people to stop by the event will receive a free t-shirt.
