Commencement 2016

Whether it’s because of the last four years or the last 150, Towson University is going to celebrate in a big way this week.

The three-day commencement ceremonies will send 3,401 TU students into the world as alumni, starting a new chapter in their lives as the university wraps up its 150th anniversary year.

Commencement week kicks off with the newly established champagne toast for graduates Monday night. On Wednesday, the College of Education and the College of Fine Arts and Communication walk the stage. Thursday, it will be the College of Health Professions and the College of Business and Economics. On Friday, the Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics will hold its ceremony, followed by the College of Liberal Arts.

While this week is a commemoration for graduates, it’s a brand new experience for some. These will be the first TU commencement ceremonies for President Kim Schatzel.

You can follow the celebration on Facebook via the Towson University and Towson University Alumni Association pages, as well as Twitter on @TowsonU and @TowsonUAlumni. Tag tweets on Twitter and Instagram with #towsonALUM and #TU150. Follow @TowsonUniversity on Instagram for inside looks at the grads as they prepare to walk across the stage and after they receive their degrees.

Congratulations, Class of 2016! #tigerFOREVER
