The following are yearend tax statements. Foreign nationals receiving payment from Towson University may receive any of the following yearend tax statements. These forms are important and provide the information needed to complete your tax return.

Foreign Person’s U. S. Source Income Subject to Withholding

Statement of taxable scholarship/ fellowship funds, employment compensation exempt by tax treaty, and non-employee payments (e.g., independent contractor)

March 15th
Taxable scholarship and treaty-exempt payments also reported in Box 16 - State Wages on Form W-2.
Note: Recipients of taxable scholarships will receive BOTH forms. Nontaxable scholarship amounts are not reported on any yearend tax statement.
