Department of Nursing

Graduate Programs

The Department of Nursing offers the Master of Science in nursing. This program prepares graduates to assume key roles in the delivery of health care to individuals and families within a community-based nursing practice. All students complete the Graduate Nursing Core and, in addition, select a concentration for further study: Nursing Practice Clinician, Nursing Education or Clinician- Administrator Transition.

Graduate certificates are available in Nursing Education and Clinician-Administrator Transition. Participants study with students in the respective master's degree concentrations. Upon completion of either of the 15-unit certificate programs, students may wish to pursue additional graduate study and apply the units to the M.S. degree.
