Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) & Reporting of
Abuse/ Neglect Training
The Department of Education and the Office of Civil Rights have mandated
that institutions take appropriate steps to provide a safer environment
for students on campus. A required component of this mandate is training
for faculty and staff.
In this training, the Office of Diversity and Equal
Opportunity has outlined learning objectives, definitions, responses, and
ways to report incidents of sexual harassment, sexual abuse,
domestic violence, stalking, and child abuse and/or neglect. Although child
abuse/neglect is not a part of Title IX, it is important to provide this
information. Completion of a quiz is required at the conclusion of the training.
To access the training, please log into Blackboardwith your user name and password.
