The Psychology Department at Towson University invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position as assistant professor in Biopsychology/Behavioral Neuroscience beginning August 2010, contingent upon funding. Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show potential for a productive research program with small animals. The Department currently has ample research space and will gain more small animal research facilities in the near future, upon completion of a new building. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology and will be responsible for teaching primarily undergraduate courses in Physiological Psychology, Research Methods and/or Behavioral Statistics, with the option of other related courses. Opportunities for teaching at the graduate level also are present. Student advising and participation on department or University committees also are expected.
