The Psychology Department at Towson University invites applicants for two full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions in Clinical Psychology, beginning August 2012, and contingent upon funding.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show potential for a productive research program. Candidates must hold a doctorate in Psychology from an APA approved program and be license-eligible in the state of Maryland. The successful candidates primarily will be responsible for teaching courses in the clinical area, such as Abnormal Psychology, Tests and Measurements, and Systems of Psychotherapy, and, less frequently, other undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and/or Behavioral Statistics. Faculty also will have opportunities for developing specialty courses in their area of expertise and for teaching at the graduate level. Areas of research interests are open, but research in the areas of forensics, neuropsychology, and/or developmental psychopathology is desirable. Student advising and participation in Department, College and University committees are also expected.
