The Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Towson University invites applications for one tenure-track position in its Computer Science (CS) program.

Qualifications:
The position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science with specialization in computer/cyber security. The selected candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, apply for external research funding and conduct research, supervise graduate students, and participate in department activities.

The Department:
The Department offers an ABET/CAC-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, and a Doctor of Science degree in Information Technology. In addition, the Department collaborates with the School of Emerging Technologies in offering a Master of Science degree in Applied Information Technology.

The Department of Computer and Information Sciences has 39 full-time faculty members, collectively over 1,000 undergraduate majors in the Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology programs, and approximately 200 graduate students. Since 2002, the computer security tracks in the undergraduate and graduate CS/AIT programs have made Towson University a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
