Assistant Professor in Finance (Two positions)

The College of Business and Economics at Towson University invites applications for two entry-level, tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance for Fall 2013. Successful candidates will be expected to teach traditional and online format courses within the finance discipline at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary areas of interest for teaching and research should be either corporate finance or investments. Secondary areas may be financial institutions or international finance.

Job Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching, advising/mentoring students; show potential for strong research skills; and a willingness to pursue external funding opportunities. ABDs with an expected graduation date no later than February 2014 and evidence of prior teaching performance will also be considered. The position requires a nine credit teaching load per semester for the first three years. The salary is competitive.
