The Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science at Towson University, established in 1975, is currently recruiting a tenure-track faculty member. Current programs include a Combined BS/MS degree and professional master’s degree program, and a doctoral degree program in occupational science.

Position Responsibilities:
• Teaching and advising
• Conducting scholarship in a research line consistent with the mission of the Department, College,  and University
• Developing and obtaining external grant funding to support research line
• Contributing to service mission of the Department, College, and University

Applicant must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland, have a minimum of three years of occupational therapy practice experience, have an earned doctoral degree with a research component (i.e., PhD, ScD, EdD), and a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Experience in adult neuro-rehabilitation, on-going involvement in professional activities, and evidence of scholarship outcomes with external funding are preferred. Candidates for the rank of Associate Professor must have six years at the rank of assistant professor and a well-established line of research. Candidates who are ABD will be considered for an initial appointment as instructor; all doctoral requirements must be completed by Feb. 1, 2014. Individuals who cannot complete all requirements by Feb. 1, 2014 may be considered for appointment as a Clinical Faculty member for a maximum of three years before beginning the tenure-track position; specific requirements apply to this position.
