Position:

The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor
position in Athletic Training/Exercise Science to begin August, 2013. Salary is commensurate
with qualifications and experience. A benefits package is included.

 

Qualifications:
Research doctoral degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a closely related discipline is required; Applicants who are ABD will be considered, but appointment will be at the instructor rank, and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2014. The candidate should have knowledge of the CAATE accreditation process, and be able to teach courses in the CAATE approved Athletic Training Education program and also in Exercise Science major. Experience in college teaching is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
Provide quality instruction primarily in a variety of undergraduate courses, particularly athletic training courses and perform research within the emphasis area. The successful candidate will also assist with curriculum development, student recruitment, student advising, seek external funding, provide
service to the Department, College, University, profession, and community.
