The College of Education is seeking candidates with doctorates in a targeted educational discipline or closely allied field
and at least three years teaching experience in a Pk-12 setting.
Assistant or Associate Professor in Special Education for undergraduate and graduate programs in Special Education programs leading
to single or dual certification (Special Education and Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education). Understanding and expertise
in the differentiation of instruction through sensitivity to Pk-12 students’ needs across diverse racial, ethnic, economic and special
needs subgroups is necessary.
A doctorate in Special Education, three years successful teaching experience in a Pk-12 setting, knowledge of UDL and its applications
across PK-20. Candidates for the Associate Professor position must document prior teaching in higher education and evidence of published
research in a field relevant to Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disorders.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, work closely with
interns, teachers, and students integrating inquiry and practice in the context of professional development schools; collaborate
with colleagues across the college and region and demonstrate knowledge of the Common Core Standards and instructional implications
of PARCC assessments, and be current in educational technology and digital teaching and learning.
