The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a 10-month Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor
position in Exercise Science to begin August, 2013. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor position has the potential to be renewed annually pending positive reviews. Salary is commensurate
with qualifications and experience. A benefits package is included.
Master degree required/Doctoral degree preferred in Exercise Science or a closely related discipline. The candidate must have three or more years of clinical experience, and currency in clinical practice, competence in clinical teaching in their discipline, and evidence of scholarly and/or administrative ability. The candidate should have the ability to teach a broad range of courses in Exercise Science such as biomechanics, research design, and functional anatomy. Experience in college teaching, working with and/or directing others (such as professionals, faculty members, graduate students) in clinical activities in
the field is highly desirable
Provide quality instruction primarily in a variety of undergraduate courses. The successful candidate will also assist with curriculum development, student recruitment and advising, maintain clinical excellence, demonstrate scholarly accomplishments, and provide service to the Department, College, University, profession, and community.
The Department of Kinesiology, located in the College of Health Professions, has more than 1200 undergraduate majors in Physical Education/ Teacher Education,
