The Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science at Towson University, established in 1975, is currently recruiting a tenure-track faculty member with experience in teaching research content and with graduate programs. Current programs include a Combined BS/MS degree, professional master’s degree, and a doctoral degree in occupational science.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching and advising, conducting scholarship in a research line consistent
with the mission of the Department, College, and University, developing and obtaining external grant
funding to support research line and contributing to service mission of the Department, College, and
University

Qualifications:
Applicant must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland; have a minimum of three years academic teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science; clear evidence of expertise via completed research using quantitative methodologies. Preference will be given to those with experience in new research technologies; have an earned doctoral degree with a research component (i.e., PhD, ScD, EdD); and a commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service. Prior academic teaching experience is required, on-going involvement in professional activities, and evidence of scholarship outcomes with external funding are preferred. Candidates who wish to be considered for the rank of Associate Professor must have six years at the rank of Assistant Professor and a well-established line of research.
