Assistant/Associate Professor or Clinical Faculty Positions

Position Overview:

Applications are being accepted for a Towson University 10-month clinical or tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in the undergraduate Health Care Management Program.

The successful candidate is expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, experience in program and/or curriculum development and evaluation, and the potential for a productive scholarship/research program (tenure-track). Responsibilities will include: teaching in undergraduate Health Care Management program, student advisement, professional service and community outreach, and participation in curriculum and course development/evaluation. Opportunities for teaching in MS in Health Science program. Salary is competitive; this position includes the State benefits package.


Doctoral degree in health care management or related field required for tenure track; minimum of master’s degree for clinical position. A tenure-track faculty member is expected to have a scholarship agenda and a commitment to advancing his/her scholarship. Minimum of one year of recent experience in teaching and/or health care management. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: ambulatory care, health care financing, health care systems, health care marketing, strategic planning, quality management, and health information systems. Other requirements: ability to develop collaborative relationships across disciplines and with external health care organizations; active participation in state and/or national professional organizations; experience in higher education or health administration/leadership. Candidates who wish to be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Clinical Associate Professor must meet all requirements for promotion to the Associate Professor or Clinical Associate Professor rank at Towson University.
